Clinical skill test

Test subjects

History taking, physical examination, physician and patient interaction, attitudes towards medical examinations, and basic technical skill.

Test procedure

The clinical skill test consists of patient encounter and procedure skills items. The patient encounter test serves to assess the overall clinical competence of candidates, such as history taking, physical examination, patient education, and Physician and Patient Interaction (PPI) with standardized patients. The procedure skills component serves to assess the basic technical skill required in the clinical setting.
There are 12 test rooms (stations) in the test location. The rooms used for patient encounter will be rooms numbered 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11, which are odd numbers. The even numbers - numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 - will be reserved for the procedure skills component.
The examinee will rotate between the 12 rooms in a clockwise manner. For example, an examinee starting at room 5 will move from 5 to 6 and 7. After passing through rooms 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2 and 3, the examinee will complete the test at room 4.
Example. Number 5 examinee.
No. 5 room (starting point) → room 6 → room 7 → room 8 → ……→ room 4 (finishing point)
